Area 6 Circles and Squares........

Well...........

I hadn't planned to do Area Dressage but I said I would do it to make up an open team for the Belvoir.

We were on at 9.24 with a 2hr trip in front of us.....
So up at 6 and to the yard to collect Twizzy who I had bath and plaited the night before, so it was a case of out the field, cover her dirty bits in chalk and off we went. We got to Epworth show ground, got ready and got on.

When I went to warm up all you could see was real dressage horses, dressage saddles, white trim briddles, black well fitted jackets.......lots of bling :p. and then there is me and my pony club, hacking jackets and jumping saddles :D:D:eek:

twizzy warmed up ok, Nothing super but she was doing as she was told so i was pleased.

then it was time for my test. I was just having a little trot round nice and clam, getting her 'used' to the killier flowers. We back to walk to go in front of the judges cars and.......AARRGG the flower is going to get me, que massive jump in the air to get away from killier flower, so i managed to stay on and the photographer that was there has got a picture of twizzy landing after jumping about :rolleyes::o Decided that trot wasnt the best gait so I popped her up in to canter and got her moving, Let the judge know I would go round her car and not in the front, she did seem gratefull :p :D and we started our test.

Down the centre line arrgg they are going to get me, killer flowers still there then Twizzy!! Got a 7 for my CL and a comment of spooking on turn.....really!!....never!!.

We were doing a nice test upto our 2nd 3 loop serpintine(sp)
when it was the turn of the killier trees to eat Twizzy. i managed to control the spook and carried on like nothing happen on to my next serpintine. BEEEPPP, EH?? I have missed out a walk trot trans when she spooked which I forgot about completely. Went back to do it again, it was ok but them trees were still going to get her...... and the carried on fine.

I got 63.74% and the team came 6th :D (out of 6 hehe)
Last night we went to a dressage run through at VV and she was fab :D :D :D . so bring on next weekend.

hope you enjoyed my interesting circle and squares report. :D
 
:) Thanks, thats how most of her trot work was :) & last night at the dressage run through for area eventing all of the work was like that :D. Just showing me she can do it. Little monkey, Seriously considering fake flowers and Xmas trees to live in her stable, but then you know what shes like, it wont bother her for 20mins then its going to kill her!! hehe
 
Go Twizzy and you, she looks very nice after the flower incident :)
One particular colour of flower (think it's white? Might be red though!) is definately a horse-eating type of flower, Twizzy was right to try and scare the nasty flowers away!
 
And I thought I had all the monsters in my arena, according to Jupiter.:p She looks great, funny how she's brave when she's an eventer but not when she's a dressage horse!:eek:

Did you have Flora in your team or was she an individual?

Just to clarify, I wasn't doing PC dressage, I meant my arena at home as I am so not PC age...:eek:

No? :confused: You've shattered my illusions! ;)

Rach, I think that is the nicest I've seen her looking. Well done both of you, a score like that is not to be sniffed at :D.

She is really odd though, wont spook for ages then they are killier flowers. :eek::o shes such a monkey

Flora was doing the Intermedaite I think I was in the open :/ had to do half 10m circles in canter and all sorts of posh stuff :D:D

:) Thanks, she is coming on just wish she could concentrate for the whole 5-6 mins when shes in the ring....... :rolleyes:
 
Ahhh little Twizzy, bless her! Well done Rach, she looks a beauti in those pics! I know another grey horse who thinks there are lots of monsters in flowers........................ Its because they know you've tricked them and there is no eventing, just yyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn stressige!!! ;-)
