I am entered with my riding club team for the Area Horse Trials at MKEC for June, and I can't find anywhere the rules on qualifying for the Nationals in August! What will we have to do at the Area's to get our ticket to the Nationals?

Can anybody help?!

Cheers!!

What class are you doing?

Normally its only 1st place that qualifies. Certainly is in our area.

also if your in team, you run as individual - so you get two shots for quailifing

Quailifiation depends on numbers of team entered in comp, normally in our area it's 1st and 2nd teams and then 1st and 2nd overall BUT if the individual placing quailify through teams, then they go down the places. So if you're 3rd or 4th you could quailify, if 1 and 2 were in winning teams - clear and mud

You going the 6th of June? Me too!

Rules normally say 1st team qualifies and highest placed individual outside of a qualifying team. Depends on how many teams your area enters

Numbers to qualify this year -
Novice = 1- 12 (teams starting) = 1 team
13 - 20 = 2 teams
21+ = 3 teams

Intermediate = 1 - 6 = 1 team
7+ = 2 teams

Open = 1 -6 = 1 Team
7 - 14 + 2 teams
15+ = 3 teams

Juniors 1 -6 = 1 team
7+ = 2 teams

The highest placed individuals NOT part of the qualifying team / teams in EACH arena also qualify. ( All team members also have their placing as an individual calculated).
