Aren’t horses supposed to fight over food?

Aw, adorable!
I observe that they don't fight if they've bonded closely. My older gelding is very dominant in the herd, but he gladly lets my youngster to share a bucket with him - none of the other horses would even dare to attempt it!

If they have bonded & they are fed regularly there is no reason for them to fall out. If they were in a muddy field, no grass * receiving no feed or hay trhen when some feed is given to them there may be a fall out.

Aww. Two of mine have been best friends for 8 years, not together all that time but will still share a bucket feed if together.
