Arena etiquette

Actually, you said "yes" but proceeded to justify why you didn't have to ask, which says to me that you probably didn't. Just reading between the lines ;)

Well, she'll fit right in at competitions. Most folk seem to have no idea about safe conduct these days, so I doubt she'll stand out enough for anyone to care.

Read between the lines all you like, but I have to tell you that you are wrong. :)

Yeah from what others have said on here its just something to get used to at a show really.

I can't actually remember a difference between BS and BD Toby when we ran shows at the last yard but that was just one place. Only thing I ever noticed was how mothers can get if their kid doesn't get the chance the mother feels they deserve. As a steward that's annoying to have to deal with someone complaining to you about things out of your control while you are trying to shepherd riders out of the arena.

Although she doesn't sound like a dream to share a school with, given the choice between her & someone that threatens violence for questionable steering and clicking at her horse - I know which I'd prefer.

If it was me, I'd politely tell her that your horse could do with a little more room when passing as he's young/sensitive/prone to kicking and if you still have problems, have a eord with your YM/YO.
