Off to weston lawns this weekend for a lil cross country jumping....anyone ever been to an arena event and whats it like, fences etc? ive been team hasing ODE and hunter trials but never tried in an arena

I did a 1DE indoors and it was fab. The xc was actually in the outdoor arena which is enormous and I was really impressed with the jumps and effort they put into it. My boy definitely realised it was xc he was doing and not sj. Have fun.

Yes I'm going. Arena eventing will be very like the JAS series that BE do. I am expecting a course of 7 ish show jumps followed by rustic working hunter/portable xc type fences, would expect to see arrowheads, skinnies and corners on the xc section to be honest. New event for Weston so guess will have to wait and see exactly what we get.
