Hi am doing our won arena. I work in construction so am able to buy the arena direct from builders suppliers, now when I have called some they have told me that under the sand I need a non woven & have quoted me Wrekin 1000. So I called Wrekin who are the manufacturers to get a list of suppliers & at same time checked the 1000 was ok. They said no & to use a thicker one - Wrekin 1300 I think it was, but no one stocks it & its special order & a lot more expensive. But then I spoke to someone who used the Wrekin 1000 & said its fine - they actually own a builders merchants too! So anyone know which brand/type of membrane to use under the sand - this manufactuer has given me a dilemma now - do you go with waht they say (tho their website states the 1000 is a hose arena one!!) or go on what other people have used! wondered which ones everyone used with success as don't want to get it wrong! thanks

Can't help with thickness, but these ones are which I used, the spun and woven.
I brought the whole kit from these people.
You could maybe ring and ask them the thicknesses?

I have a friend that worked for well known equestrian ground works company and he's said He would use a woven for under the sub base and for between sub base and chosen surface he'd use a non woven geotextile like Terram 1000 which is 1000gsm, if everything else is installed correctly he doesn't seem to think you would need anything thicker but may depend on sub bases you are using
