Sorry I know this has been done before but wondering if you lovely people can help?

Our school/arena was put in over 13 years ago and has never been topped up, so really, really needs it. The current surface is, sharp sand, PVC bits, sprayed with an Industrial Vaseline. And really we wanted to top it up with the same.

So first question, does anyone know any companies that supply this surface, we aren’t sure the name of the original company that put the school in?

Secondly, has anyone ever top up this type of surface with something else, e.g. rubber? If so how is it?

Also does anyone have any company recommendations? We are in Kent.

Thanks in advance.

With it being that long ago I would guess perhaps Martin Collins may have done it, beware thou, the cheapest quote I got for a waxed surface was 18 k !
But, its very good but depends on how much money u have to spend.
Im re doing mine in Jan with the best sand I can find which is from Rehill surrey at a cost of approx 8 k which includes removal of old sand, spreading new.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply, I will look up those, get some quotes, pass them to my Dad, and see what he says!

We are hoping it doesn’t need a complete re-surface, as still does at least half of the surface it started with, but it’s getting hard where it’s going down to the stones.

maybe try robert brazil they are local based in ryarsh - they have installed for people like carl hester and they did the local racehorse gallops which are lush to ride on
