Well after a 2 year battle with our moronic neighbours we have FINALLY won planing permission for a 60x20 arena here
So now the big question is... Which surface to invest in...?
We will have around 35 liveries using it plus our own stallions and horses we have in for backing / schooling and our own youngsters we're backing to sell on so I think that classifies as pretty heavy usuage. Mixture of flat and jumping...
I've rang around a load of companies and have 5 which I am most keen to use - the others I had my doubts about whether they'd stand up to the useage.
First up is Equestrian Surfaces: Cushion Track Classic, or Wax Track. The most expensive but I know they've sponsored HOYS so assumably are pretty good? Anyone used either of the above surfaces?
Then there's Jacksons Arenas Star-Trak
Martin Collins - Activ-Track or Eco-Track - Oh actually I lie - having looked at the qotes again - THIS one (Eco Track) is by far the most expensive - £10k MORE than Equestrian surfaces!
Equestrian Direct - Turf Float & Silica sand....
CushionRide
Any experience either on your own arena or at competition centres you ride at of any of the above surfaces would be fab.
Also if you have any experience with the customer service or aftercare of any of the above companies I'd be interested to hear too...
It's a huge amount of money so want to be sure we make the right decision :cold:
