so Henry my big black cob came to me 3 ring gag (on the 3rd ring - this proved a bad idea as he ended up with cuts in his mouth and very evasive (running away-mostly into hedges walls w/e). so i put him in a half cheek hanging snaffle... this worked well for a while - not anymore... he now is able to set his neck and go steering is more like dragging - generally its not fun. Ideally i want to keep him in a snaffle of kinds so i can compete in local low level dressage.
Also i really hope to start his jump training in earnest soon - can't do that with no brakes.
Any ideas, i really could do with help as its getting silly now...
Thanks
p.s He tends to start getting reallly heavy leaning on the bit alot... not so much tanking but just decides he doent want to do it...
