Remain calm and correct it. Its only 1 move in the whole test, so if you f**k it up, put it behind you and carry on with the rest of the test.

**Lots of vibes**
You will be fiiiine, most of the people I know don't plait.
I know your not stricktly aloud to do this in a dressage test but in the warm up especially if you think he is stressing etc, why not start singling something, like 10 green bottles? The breating of singing it helps calm me down and then in turn calm the horse.
Hope to get update of this test :3!

Hes a Dales X (the prev owner said tb) (my Arse)(can i say that?)
this was about 6months ago the 2nd day i had him - if i do say so my self he's mucled up and lost some weight (will get some pics)

Prep for dressage - this is how I do it..

Before the show;
Get a copy, and learn your test and, if you have a caller get them briefed and sorted
Know what time you're on and plan backwards - e.g. you're on at 10.55, you want an hour to warm up when you're there, 15 mins to tack up etc etc right the way back to what time you have to get up in the morning.
check you and horse have correct kit and that you're both dressage legal. Make sure your outfit is clean and ironed/polished.

The day before;
exercise horse as appropriate
a goood groom or bath
clean tack
Pack car - your clothes, horse's tack, sweat rugs, water, skip & shovel etc. Don't forget the test!!
Get your horse's grooming kit, headcollar, travelling gear etc ready
Prepare the trailer/box - clean & haynet ready
Make sure you know where you're going & how to get there!
Set your alarm!!

On the day
Wear comfortable underwear (!)
Put your joddys and show shirt & cravat/tie on under a pair of old jogging pants & jumper & muckers
Feed/hay/water as appropriate
groom, stick travelling gear on and load, go
Arrive, hopefully you'll have a groom to tack up while you get your jacket, gloves, whip & boots on, if not personal preference on order but try to stay clean!!
Warm up
do test
enjoy!!

No offence but i wouldnt' advise this, A) you cannot sing during a dressage test, B) If you are thinking about the words to the song, you might not be thinking about your next transition.

Just relax, you can take rescue remedy if you are really nervous. and Good Luck, just enjoy it

once you've finished you'll wonder why you worried so much!!!!!!!

Sorry, but I think you should plait. I dont understand why some people dont bother, just lazy I think. If you want to take part in these things you and your horse should look your best and obviously do the best you can. Dont stress, it is supposed to be fun. Try and relax and enjoy.
