Woke up with one this morning - how bloody painful?

Haven't been able to ride and brought heat pads and numerous drugs to try and get it sorted....found that sitting in a meeting all day certainly didn't help!

Any tips for getting rid?

Get yourself to the doctor for a proper diagnosis, and hope it isn't a frozen shoulder, but is a lesser problem, which is most likely the case. Frozen shoulder is deeply unfunny.....

Really sympathise - I had a frozen shoulder and it lasted for ages

Heatpads are good as are the heat sprays.

its been niggling since I had a nasty fall last october but this morning I woke up and it was agony....I'm hoping I just pulled it but can't remember doing it.....got some tiger balm on it and will see if that works overnight...

I had a frozen shoulder this time last year, got from lifting some heavy struff around. Went to doctor told me not to use arm for 2 weeks and take ibuforen then stand against a wall with bad arm and push slightly to start to regain use. (I couldn't use it anyway and it took about 5 weeks to get anywhere normal. I couldn't lift my arm or hold anything in my hand couldn't grip. This year its my knee doctor thinks its thrombophlebitis he's given me antibiotics incase its a deep skin irritation just to be on safe side and said if gets anyworse to telephone him. He's drawn a nice black in line all around and said watch for the inflamation going past that line try not to wash it off for a few days until the antibiotics have had chance to work. So now sporting a lovely red knee with black pen all over it. But I hadn't seen this doctor before and is he scrummy. lol

Must be the weather for it. I had a "funny turn" this morning and went beserk in the garden clipping, pruning, trimming whatever. Then did 7 stables as usual. Now my right shoulder is absolute agony and I cant find the deep heat stuff. I'm dreading waking up tomorrow, I'm already sitting here like the hunchback of notre dame as it's more comfy that way.

I do think its due to me riding in the snow, getting cold ect... its feeling a bit better now so hopefully just a muscle sprain

It could be a rotator cuff injury. They can be absolute agony and come on just like that. I did that once and was in so much pain I thought I was having a heart attack! eek

Got myself off to the chiropracter and they sorted it out.
