Ok,
I am having a nightmare trying to get a pair of long leather boots.
I have my first Showing show on sunday, and can't seem to find ANY that will fit me!

I'm a size 5, but i'm only 5'4", so have short, but muscular calves.
Everything i'm looking at seems to be too long and too narrow....

to the back of my knee, i'm about 15", and widest part of calf is apx 16"...

Does anyone have any reccomendations, as i'm running out of time!!

I have the same problem, but i'm only 5'1". Hoping there will be made to measure ones at badminton I can order.

Sorry, not much help to you though!

Boots and gaiters. Look really smart and bespoke!! The english gaiter company do lovely ones. Have you looked at the chart for the new mountain horse ones?

if you cant get any long leather boots have you thought about getting something like the ariat or tredstep short boots and leather gaiters? Both look really nice and from a distance you cant really tell they arent long leather boots. Or what about the Mountain Horse Sportive boots? I think they have brought out a new wide fitting in them for the smaller foot sizes.

Ariat boots and gaiters are really smart, plus the chaps come in small and short fittings so you should easily be able to find some that fit

My mums even shorter than you. Shes 5ft and between a shoe size 3/4. She ended up getting some made to measure Petire boots, they werent cheap though. Maybe you could get someone to buy you a pair as a special pressie?

Just typed this and lost it but Rectiligne do some that fit me fine and I'm the same sort of size as you. I got mine from Ingatestone Saddlery in Essex but don't know how far that is from you. They are about £100, edited to say I think they were the Dallas style

No help but just wanted to add that there MUST be a gap in the market for long boots for the vertically challenged. I'm 5 ft 1 1/2 & my calves are only 12 1/2" round and no boots are short or narrow enough. I've got some regents that were cut down. Even after a good 13 years, they still take the skin off my toes / ankles if I'm stupid enough to walk a course in them but I can't find anything better.

I have some toggi extreme boots and gaiters - wonderful but the boots are taking forever to wear in - lost count of the plasters I have got through.

With my leather boots I have very wide calves, small feet - 4 allows me a very thick pair of socks, and very short legs, I had them trimmed down and them stretched - result perfect fit.

I ordered my long leather boots from Brogini and you can get your specific calf measurements made to fit you and they aren't crazy money. http://www.brogini.com/

I had a problem buying boots as my ankles and calves are a bit pathetic so everything swamped me, my broginis are great and fit like a glove.

I've had this problem for ages! I finally found some Regali Ricchi boots that fitted last weekend, so for the first time in years I didn't have to lie on the floor with my legs in the air while someone tried pulling the damned things off!! Hoorah!!
