argh! broken pony!

Poor old Jerry didnt have a good day today, I had decided to work on his canter, and we were really getting somewhere, until someone got a little over enthusiastic and now we have quite a nasty overreach (through a boot

) was quite sore on it, poor chap.

Brought him in and hosed him off (he is getting a lot better) then not sure what happened next but he got loose and must of caught his leg somehow as there was blood everywhere

Got a pressure bandage on it quickly and left him for a bit, took it off and fortuently it had stopped bleeding, and doesnt look to bad now all the blood has been cleaned away.

So wasnt really our day today, oh well, we had managed a month without any injuries which for a horse of mine is very impressive

Sorry for the moan, but why is it when you are finally getting somewhere things go wrong, suppose I'll have to cancel my lesson on friday, and I had free use of a menage this week which is now very bad timing

Poor you, I know what you mean though, Fly is getting fat and I really needed to get on and so some schooling and general work before our first show next week and the toe rag looses a front shoe on friday. Hope farrier can come out today, really need to crack on. Hope Jerry ok soon. xx
