Argh don't know what to do!

Ok so me and Toto *may* be going to a 'Derby Day' at an indoor school, it's basically a mix of showjumps and working hunter jumps, and clear rounds will jump off, but I can't decide whether to do the 'Whittaker Warm Up' or the 'Tamarillo 2 round Derby Challenge'

Class 1 is approximately 2ft with simple working hunter jumps

Class 2 is 2ft 3 - 2ft 6 with more advanced WH jumps

At home I can easily jump round a 2ft 6 course but out and about I get really nervous, forget to ride and we end up with run-outs, because if I'm unconfident, it makes Toto unconfident too. I'm just a bit worried incase the 2ft6 WH jumps are gonna be quite scarey and I don't want to frighten Toto, we've just been xc schooling over little fences and had a great time, so the aim of the derby would be to increase his confidence more over rustic fences. I've been to a riding club show there before and the fences were a little over height.

Go and do the 2ft class, and if you are confident round that then could you do class 2 next time. Don't frighten yourself, if you were happy on the xc schooling you don't want to ruin that. Have fun. x

Both? I don't think yopu'd hammer round like a loon and Toto is fairly fit atm from the workload hes on (if I remember rightly). If class 1 goes well, go into class 2 for a play and enjoy it.

MickeyMoo- yes that's what I was thinking, I just don't want to ride like a melon and wreck what we've just achieved! Haha I'll be pootling round the warm up on my 14.1hh and everyone else will be about 5 years younger than me and whizzing round on 12.2hh's!

Yes he's quite fit but I don't particulary want to enter both with the prices of the classes

Also the classes are likely to be very big, we don't want to be waiting around all day really, thanks for the suggestion though
