Everything went wrong today!
Starting with being told we were getting 700!!!!!!!!!!!!! bales of straw
why do we have so many animals?!Anyway, that led to a quick ride, and now my hands and arms are all cut up and i have a really really really sore rope burn on my finger.
And i just feel so bad! We were moving the chicken hutch (to make room for the straw in the barn) and it's raised up on planks attached to the bottom of it, with gaps in between. Anyway, we picked it up (5 of us all had a hold of a bit) and then put it down again to get a better grip. One baby bunny ran out, which we had no idea was there. Then when we lifted it back up again, we had put it down on another baby bunny
It was still alive so i picked it up but it was bleeding from it's mouth and it died in my hands
i know it was nobodys fault but i feel so sorry for it, it's the first animal i've had die in my hands.
It was so unlucky though! so unfair! if it had been an inch or so to the left, it would have been in one of the gaps when we put it back down, like the other one must have been
And i'm angry! We're getting a new horse. Again. Don't get me wrong i'm excited but it's the 2nd one this month! She's apparently a hackney pony, about 15.2hh. Supposed to be 18 but probably older. We had a couple of people ringing and complaining it was neglected so YM went to see her today. She said she was in ok condition but seemed very fat, and definitely needs a good worming! She's been left to herself for ages, and only one man can catch her, and he's on holiday for two weeks. It makes me so angry! They aren't interested in her at all, and it seems they never have been! Why get a horse to sit in your field? She can be ridden but she needs an awful lot of work and doesn't trust humans at all
God i'm so angry and upset! I can't stop thinking about the little bunny just going limp
Mum's washing the blood out my trousers right now
