Having a bad few days with my minis, noticed on Saturday they had lice. Got some Coopers from the vets and treated them with that yesterday so hopefully all under control there. Also noticed on Saturday that one mini was doing a lot of butt scratching, first thought was pinworm so took a poo sample and Sellotape sample to vets. Had a call this evening to tell me that the mini who was scratching does indeed have pinworm
The good news is that the other mini doesn't have it but we will treat her anyway as she was above the recommended levels for other worms.
They live out 24/7, never spend anytime in their shelter, don't wear rugs etc so that makes cleaning everything slightly easier. Going to do water buckets and head collars etc tomorrow. Unfortunately she had probably scratched her botty on almost every tree in the field at some point, and there are a lot of trees! Does this mean I'm going to have to go round with a bucket of disinfectant tomorrow cleaning trees?!!
This will be the fourth time since September that they have been wormed, and I poo pick everyday!!
Humph, moan over!
