OMG - OMG

Its the 8th of November in just a fortnight - I can't believe its come round so quickly

Due to the recent circumstances in my life the whole thing got placed on the back boiler but I have suddenly realised how close it is and am royally panicking!!

However, the amount of people wanting to join in seem to have run away with me - so far, there appears to be about 14 of us! I bet though, that if the weather is awful, the number will reduce

I rang the pub yesterday where we are all stopping to have lunch and was half hoping that they would donate the lunch to us, but no such luck. I am almost organised in getting three large trucks parked up to put all the dogs in whilst we are in the pub.

Due the pub's tight fistedness (is that a word?) I am going to ask them to donate a couple of bottles and do a draw at lunchtime to raise a bit more money. Also, seeing as there are so many of us I am just asking people who are joining in to donate a tenner rather than get sponsors (this excludes the children though of which I think there are going to be loads - well at least 6 so far!).

I am going to park up at our starting point tomorrow and walk a few miles of it to get myself in the mood - poor dogs, they worked so hard today out shooting, it will be shock to have to go on a long walk tomorrow as well!!

Anyway, enough of my ramblings - how are you getting on?

ali-m - hooligans are welcomed - they most certainly won't look out of place!! I am sure the whole thing is going to be complete chaos

I will have to put my very bossy hat on (not difficult for me!) and instruct people who have wayward dogs to keep them on leads - not really the done thing round here!

Oh wish we lived down there would love to have come. Our dog has been out today on the shoot and is absolutely shattered and she's out tomorrow when me and OH go out for a day for walking and pub lunch. Ravenwood I've said it before and I'll say it again you are so lucky living where you do.

I have 3 or 4 people walking with me, which is good, the downside is they are all people I have asked to sponsor me, so in the long term will bring in more money but my sponsor form looking a bit sad

My walking boots have also just started leaking, don't want to try and break in a new pair by then so am just piling on the water proofer and praying for a dry day. Really looking forward to it though, we are planning a circular route on the Cheshire sandstone trail, and as luck would have it we finish at a pub!

Hooray guys - I was panicking that everyone had forgotten cos I've beeb a bit rubbish at promoting it recently!

Ravenwood, so far you win the prize for Most Organised Person, I'm not sure what this prize is mind you

How's everybody else doing?

han, is there any link to the HHO walk on the help for heroes website or are we too lowly for that? A couple of people have asked me exactly how the "virtual lands end to John O'Groats " thing works, I have so far tried to explain from the threads on here, but if there was something on H4H it would help.
