finally got the bottom of my horses on off lameness last week when x-rays diagnosed an umbalanced pedal bone and under-run heels. So Vet speaks to farrier and discuss x-rays and between them they decide to put straight bar shoes on both front hooves. I am to keep him on a little bute for a while and bring him back into work slowly.
So on Tuesday my farrier arrives bright and early and puts said shoes on and horsey looks nice a comfey in them!
Wednesday morning I take him for our first 20 minutes in the school, mostly walk with a little trot in straight lines and he feels great.
Wednesday night he comes in from the field minus one of his new (and did I say very expensive) shoes and is as lame as a duck :-(
I don't think I could be any more frustrated with him at the moment if I tried, bloody 'orse!
