Been up to the yard tonight to ride the boys.....they've been out together this afternoon enjoying the sunshine

So, why, tell me, has Bo got a f%&k1n9 great gash in his n/s fore just above his knee

It looks like a kick....so can only assume that Trike is to blame......but 2 days before the Blue Chip qualifier

He seems okay in himself, but was clearly 'aware' of the injury as he kept licking it. I sprayed him 'purple' and gave him the night off.....but what chance of jumping on sunday now

Thats just plan sods law, sorry to hear that but dont give up hope just yet.......I am sure they do it to just test us out..........

I've been building up to this class since before xmas....

I know these things happen, but i can't help thinking that i kept 'hinting' that i didn't want them turned out together

Well, Bo's leg resembles a football now...just above the knee

Obviously we couldn't compete today and he has had a couple of days of cold hosing, and cold compresses applied.

Funny thing is he trots up sound...but it is causing him some discomfort as he visibly flinches when it is cold hosed

The vet is coming out tomorrow for a look...and in the meantime he is being given anti-inflammatories to assist the swelling.

I'll give you an update as soon as i have one

Oh no i cant believe it!!!!! I also logged on to find out how you got on and was gutted to read this, i thought at least one of us would get to go!!

We didn't bother taking Trikey out in the end as he's already qualified for the Blue Chips. He's better if he's kept fresh so he had a nice hack out on saturday and then a lazy day in the field on sunday

Quick Update:

Vet been out today. He's not convinced it is a kick...says it could be where he's rolled and hit something, or perhaps run into something (a tree would be the only real option in this instance

Anyway, he's put him on bute and box rest for 3 days and also given him some antibiotics. He doesn't think it's anything to worry about and hopefully the boy should be good to go again soon

In the meantime, anyone got any ideas on how to 'toughen up' a wussy WB who thinks he's Shergar

Yeah....it won't do him any harm to have a few days off now..... No shows planned now anyway so time to relax a bit lol!
