Can anyone tell me, if there is anything significantly different between Argyll wellies and Hunters - other than these two:

They are common black (with a rather dashing red stripe) rather than traditionally posh green, blow in blue, nouveau red, and chav pink.

They are ten quid cheaper.

Just wondered, since we had to make a mad dash for reinforcement waterproof items for self and kids yesterday, since wellies (including Hunters) and waterproof trousers etc had sprung leaks all over - presumably in response to the monsoon. And I bought myself some Argylls. They are rather nice. I shall start a fashion.

I bought stormwells wellies(green ones) last year.Got 2 pairs for £20 that included the delivery. They look like my old hunters and seem to be holding up ok at the moment.

i have just got some toggi wellies from ebay £9.98 inc postage, really fast delivery too,

very pleased with them as they came yesterday just in time for horrid weather

the thing about argylls though is that they are actually hunters. they are made by hunter, the label you cut out of them is a hunter label, with a picture of pretty coloured hunters on it, they are identical but for a slightly different tread on the sole.
so in fact, they are just less trendy hunters, and cost a tenner less!
