Well, he's bossed poor FB into a shadow of his former self - I think having been bossed about by a mardy mare for the last three years he is enjoying being top dog. If he gets nasty I will split the field as FB doesn't deserve it.

He fence walks for hours, backwards and forwards all day. He's dedicated, only stops for hay breaks or to try chivvy FB into joining in. Doesn't bother me - keeps him fit, but the neighbours are always telling me he's doing it.

So far he has been quite happy in his stable overnight and I did wonder if the big, flat field gives him agrophobia! He used to be in a place with lots of trees and a shelter - which he was usually standing in when I went to visit.

He pulled the garage doors off this morning - just spooked at the mad old neighbour over the wall and pulled back, snapping his binder twine but unbalancing the ancient doors which promptly fell over, freaking out FB - cue two horses legging it up into the garden. Both fine and calmed down instantly they found the grass.

On the other hand, he is very sweet, likes to play, is very well behaved on hacks and has paces to die for.

Oh yes, he seems to be incapable of cantering on the correct leg when lunging, he always changes to the outside leg, even if he strikes off on the correct lead after about four strides he does a flying change to put him back on the wrong lead. Ideas please?

No ideas, but hugs 'cos I'm in a huggy mood
