Last week I won a pair of Ariat Grasmere boots (I was actually trying to win the turnout rug!) but I don't know whether to keep them or not. They are lovely but they are not something I would ordinarily buy; I prefer Mountain Horse boots.

I asked for black but they sent brown, so again I don't know whether to change them, but if I decide to stick them on ebay it doesn't really matter what colour they are. I fancy the Stella Polaris MH boots which I could afford if I sold them, but, so I'm told, the Ariats are much sought after so maybe I should keep them. However, I don't wear stuff because of "what" it is, or what people think, I just wear what I like and don't care what people think. I don't think I would ride in them - too nice for that

And I know I'm being an ungrateful brat by even thinking of getting rid of them anyways when they were free!!!

Decisions, decisions - help!!! They're just sitting in their box in the living room - I haven't even tried them on!

Oh my goodness, try them on! They are amazing boots, I adore mine! I wear mine for dog walking/riding/general yard work/shooting and my feet remain cosy and comfy allll day. Best £180 I ever spent.

Although if you stick them on eBay you will get good money for them.

I totally agree, they are the most worth it thing ive ever bought, they are warm with only one pair of thin socks, they dont leak, they are soooo comfortable and they are not heavy or clumpy to wear, I love riding in mine too as the leather and suede are so soft and supple they are very easy to ride in, ive had mine for almost 4 years now and they are still going strong however the sole is coming away slightly round the toe, so I think il be putting a new pair on the christmas list this year

I was a Mountain Horse fan until I got my Ariats, my Grasmere's died a few weeks ago and I'm now distraught. Try them on, they are fantastic.

Try them on, they are lovely boot's imo way better than Mountain horse for comfort. I wear mine everyday all day & i adore them.

If you still don't want them do put what size they are as im sure people would be interested.

ariat grasmeres are blissfully comfy and mega warm (first boots ever to keep my toes warm) and because of mine i am not dreading winter. if i was told i had to walk 30 miles now the only footwear i would trust not to rub my feet raw are my grasmeres. they are wonderful, honestly. lucky you for winning them!

And I'll buy them if they're size 6 or 6.5!

I bought mine when I was feeling really miserable just after my mum died, I was at Oasby, it was cold wet and miserable and my feet were cold wet and miserable too. I bought a pair there because a little voice in my head said "mum would have wanted you to have them". They are the only thing that keeps my toes warm - first winter ever I have not had cold toes was last winter, I liked them so much I bought my daughter a pair, then when I found some bargain ones I bought myself another pair because the first pair have been worn every day for over a year apart from three days when we were on holiday. My daughter has now gone off to Uni and because I am a daft but kind mother I let her take my brand new unworn pair so that she could use them as comfy smart boots whilst she was there.

So if yours are a 6 or a 6.5 UK size there is a good home waiting here for them!

They're a size 7. Oh no, now I feel worse as you all love them so really I should stick with them.

I shall wear them round the house over the weekend (well, for the short time I'm indoors anyway, i.e. whilst watching XFactor!!) and make a decision then.

Thanks guys!
