Thank you everyone too. My OH has been complaining that his Ariat sport mules that are like slip on trainers have been leaking through the soles if the grass is wet. He only uses them to pop out to the yard or take the dog out in the garden/fields in summer so they've only been submitted to summer dew on the grass rather than torrential rain. They started to leak through the sole after a year and we weren't sure if it was worth sending them back. Even if they get a repair it will be worth it as you'd expect them to last longer than a year with light use.
