I've just contacted ariat regarding a pair a Windermere boots I bought back in may/June time. Now the wet weather has come they've starting leaking. They've been treated with Ariat products. Anyway has anybody had experience sending boots back to Ariat. If they are not going to replace them I want them back for summer ( if its dry at all)

You should be ok with Ariat, they have a good reputation for customer service. My daughter had short zip up boots and the zip went after 6 months. I took them back to the shop who rang Ariat and they said to replace them, and the shop gave me a new pair there and then.

I'm sure there is a thread similar to this on here from a while ago and there were plenty of good experiences.

I had a couple of problems with them. When I ordered my boots they sent the wrong ones to the shop, order placed again in the end they turn up and this time they have a faulty zip. Went back to shop they contacted them and they said they would replace them, but by this time I had had enough and said no, only then did they get the a e said would not refund my order. The shop did, so I think as long as you do not want a refund you should be ok.

They are good, just make sure you ring them first to let them know as they will give the info on where to send them. I had to send back a pair of mudbusters after 3 months when they split along the seam (the replacement pair last a bit longer before it went in the same place) and returned a pair of lace up paddock boots after the first pair ripped at the sole seam after 1 month of wear.

I had some trouble with a pair of conistons with a faulty zip. Before I returned them, they wanted photos and would not confirm whether they would replace. I didn't want them fixed as was worried they would just break again, not to mention at the time of buying I wanted them for badminton, which was the following weekend, and they couldn't say whether the boots would be mended in time rather than sending new ones. In the end, I had to return to the shop (they were broken when parcel opened) and pay 25 quid postage, because I didn't want to get stuck with a £220 pair of useless boots. Wouldn't buy again unless it was from a local shop and definitely not online, it was far too much of a fuss when the boots weren't right on delivery.

I will defo make sure they are clean before they go. Emailed them and they have sent me there free post label n told me what to put in with them. There technical dept is going to inspect them so hopefully ill have a new pair on there way soon :) thanks for all ur help everyone x

Yer my friend returned a pair of devon pro boots direct to ariat. They were pretty quick to replace and TBH hed had them a fair while but for the price they should have lasted longer. He gave them a really good clean as they did say theyd only replace if they were faulty not if it was wear and tear. But the replaced no question very quicly.

I returned two pairs of mudbusters back to them and both were replaced by them. I don't personally rate their wellies but their customer service is brilliant!

Ariat customer service is fab!! My original pair of mudbuster wellies split and cracked quite badly within a very short period of time with very little use, which I was obviously really disappinted with (even my hunters lasted longer!) - so I contacted them, not asking for a refund/exchange but just to ask if this was a common problem with the wellies, and they got back to me within 2 minutes (!) with a detailed response, asking me to forward them photos of the splits. I did, they contacted me first thing the next day to apologise, asked me to return the wellies to them (providing postage label) and sent me a replacement pair free of charge by next day delivery. Cannot praise them highly enough and that customer service is the reason I went back to them for my riding boots, ariat is a great company. And my second pair of mudbusters are still going strong & are leak free! :D

In the past couple of weeks I have sent back a pair of Mudbusters that split. One boot was on the side by the sole, and the other boot was half way up on the side. They sent me a return postage label electronically. I parcelled the boots up with a note and sent them off on the Monday and by Thursday morning I received a brand new pair of boots with an apology.

I found their customer service to be excellent.

Ive returned 2 pairs of Mudbusters in the last year. The first pair, they sent me a freepost label and a replacement pair of wellies arrived within the week. The replacement pair split (in a different place) within the first year so I phoned to complain again. This time the lady said dont worry about returning them, we'll just send you another pair, they arrived 3 days later. Another here who actually doesnt rate the wellies, but their customer service is brilliant.

I am about to return my 3rd pair of mudbusters in less than a year. I take them back to the shop I bought them from and they return them to Ariat for me. Each time they have split where the boot joins the sole. I'm very disappointed with them and wonder how many times Ariat will replace them. Again customer service very good, but I would much rather have a pair of boots that actually last longer than 3 months. Recommendations anyone?
