Am looking to purhase the Ariat Bromonts and just wondered...
A) what people think of them?
B) suitable for competition (unaffilliated dsg/sj/hunter trials etc?)
C) I know the insulated ones would be fab in the winter but would they roast my feet in the summer? I know we have more cold weather than hot so makes sensse to buy insulated but Ariat winter boots are usually very warm so am wondering whether to buy insulated or non insulated (with extra socks in winter) - can;lt budget for two pairs!

Thanks in advance!

I love mine!!! They are so comfy, and you dont have to bed them in like normal leather boots!! I have the insulated ones, and find them fine at the moment. (ask me again when its really hot!!!) Would probably get melted feet if competing on a hot day!!!!
I would love to buy the non-insulated ones too, but dont think OH would be too impressed!!!

Forgot to mention they come up quite big in size in terms of foot size, im normally a size 5, but went for a 4 1/2, but the calf width is quite small, i certanly dont have tree trunk legs but had to go for the wide fitting. You should be ok if you have Olive Oyl legs!!! he he!!!

Well I'm slightly mad but I have both!! Started with the insulated ones, which are so comfy and the suede gives a really good grip on the calf. For me they are way too hot in summer ( but i'm always too hot!) so I got the non-insulated quite recently - they have dropped a bit more as they are not padded inside but are brilliant. Not sure how hard-wearing they'll be long-term, I wear mine a lot, not just competitions. If I had known the non-insulated ones were coming out I'd probably have just got them but I can thoroughly recommend both. Just try them on first,I have the regular fitting but its quite narrow. Hope this helps!!

I have the insulated ones. I compete in BE, BSJA and showing in them no problem. I do still have my old Ariat jod boots & gaiters though which I do use on the hottest days. But TBH unless its a really warm day, my feet arent uncomfortably hot in them.

The only problem Ive had with them is that they seem to come up long on me, so I cant do the zip up to the very top. Maybe I have short legs though.

Ooh I love mine. Bought them just for shows but they are too nice so I keep wearing them for schooling. I have the insulated ones and they are a bit hot in the summer but just like any other long boot I guess. As ppl have already said, I think the insulation helps them to 'stand up better'.

I have both

(don't tell OH!!!). I absolutely adore them and would never go back to stiff leather boots!! The insulated ones are really warm and there is no way I could wear them in this heat, however I didn't have cold feet once through the winter!! I wear mine for BE and BSJA, they look better when they've had a polish as they are a bit 'dull' when new.
You do need quite long legs to wear them tho....I can't normally have off the peg boots as they are never long enough, but these are perfect!!

I have insulated ones that I wear every day - they make my feet sweat now so I will be buying the non insulated ones.

I am going to sell my 2 pairs of Broginis, that is how much I think of them.
