Just thought I'd share useful experience with Ariat.....

Last Wednesday the zip on my left boot (which is my narrower leg!) decided to break.
I have had the boots since Sept 2010 and kept them with trees in, in a boot bag when not wearing them and was gutted! They were the chocolate ones (I also have the black ones and the non-insulated ones - oops!)
So, Thursday morning I rang Ariat Customer Services and they emailed me a pre-paid label to send the boots in to them to see if there was anything that could be done.

On Monday, I rang them to make sure the boots had arrived safely and spoke to Angela, the lady who unpacks and checks any returns.
Now, bearing in mind I did not have a receipt - but the boots had obviously never been anywhere near mud or mistreated, I thought the best I could hope for was a replacement zips, and the worse I could expect was to have to pay for replacement zip.
To my amazement Angela said she had me down for a REPLACEMENT PAIR!

So - Tuesday morning, at 7.30 a BRAND NEW PAIR OF WAXED CHOCOLATE ARIAT BROMONTS WITH A FREE PAIR OF ARIAT TREES (!!) arrived :D

LOVE YOU Ariat!

So - if you have a zip go then give them a call (not if your boots are 2 foot in mud though or worn to pieces obviously!)

:D :D

I think the zips on their boots are naff.

I have the ariat coniston boots and both zips busted one after a year, one after 18 months. Had both replaced which cost £75 and now both are on the way out again so have taken to using the laces and not the zips to put them on and off !

I have to admit the zip on one of my short ones did go a while back-Wasn't too bothered as I wear them pretty much every day, so bought another pair and now the first pair are over their issues and the zips are working again :D

LOVE ARIAT :)

A shame you didn't send them back to Ariat - you'd have probably gopt replacements!
The New Bromonts have the YKK zip - much tougher, like Mountain Horse use - so hopefully won;t get this problem again :)

I have just recieved my replacement boots from Ariat after some stitching went on my Brown bromonts was very pleased to see the tougher zip :)

I did email ariat and got absolutely no response from them so wasn't very impressed at all!

Zips on both my original short boots busted too, have a new pair now.

Perhaps i just have terrible luck with zips on boots? :o

That's a shame - Ariat sent me a brand new pair of conistons when the same thing happened to me, there was a fault with a batch of them. Mine were 18 months old by the time the zip went and had been well worn!

i had the same problem with my bromonts last year and my local tack shop swapped them for a new pair and sent the faulty ones back to ariat... they said they get alot come in and Ariat dont mind swapping them out!
