I do not know, but one of my Ariat Close cotact chaps does the same thing...i am pulling the top (which has the popper on) through the loop on the zip...but now the loop is breaking so i am using tape round my leg.
i know its a complete pain, thing is they are so expensive i really dont want to buy a new pair for them to do the same. Is it one chap more than the other? Are they loose or tight?
It's just one chap. They're neither one nor the other, a perfect fit really which is why I wear them so much. I wondered about sewing a bit of thread around the teeth at the top (just on one side) to see if it will catch on it and not fall down.
One of mine does the same (can't remember what one as it's been so long since I wore them!), I do as FranA suggested and put the loop that is on the zip through the top with the popper on it. That's worked fine for about a year.
Send them back to the SMD group Return Dept who are the UK agents for Ariat!!!!- I had excatly the smae prob with mine and they sent me a replacement pair.
The same prob then happened with the replacement pair and so they sent me another pair which are absolutely fine now!
I have exactly the same problem with my close contact half chaps.. but i can't picture which bit i'm ment to be threading the top of the zip through??? as the popper close thing at the top is far to thick to go through the hole in the zip???
tis most annoying tho!!!
i have a loop threaded through my zip, do you not?
i have just sent an email and comlained, mine are over a year old though...but to be honest i have looked after them very well and they have done it almost from the very start- and its not like they are cheap!!
I haven't no... just a normal zip. with a small strap of leather to close a popper at the top... the bit of leather is far to thick to thread through the hole on the zip pully thing...
