Ariat Close contact chaps...are they worth it

As title says really, been looking at them and seriously thinking about investing in a pair seeing as cheap ones dont last. I tried a pair on and they were gorgeous but my only reservation was there was a slight gat at the top between chap and leg but the next size down doesnt fit

The lady in the shop says they do drop after they are worn so would fit better then but not sure i want to pay a huge amount for something that doesnt quite fit to start with?

Any positive/negative reviews would be well recieved

I'm a huge fan of Ariat and recently got a pair of close contact chaps in a sale, but they were a really good fit with no gapping at the top. I have found they don't drop as much as you might expect now they are worn in so if you are relying on that to improve the fit it might be worth looking at something else. Strangely I have a pair of ariat classic chaps which are a slightly different size so you could try another type of Ariat chap and you might get a better fit.

I really like mine. I got them 3 years ago and have abused them ever since Mine dropped a bit, but it was because I stretched the eleastic at the bottom wearing them with my Blundstones. Once I went back to my ariat jod boots they did drop. Very slight though and have stayed the same in all other aspects of size. I know that the size does change between the different ariat chaps....my friend is an xs tall in one kind and a s tall in another.
For longevity they are great!
