Ariat Close Contact Chaps - do they 'drop'?

I fell in live with some Ariat Close Contact chaps at the weekend, however the only size that I could get to fit were the SS (I have short, wide calves). Anyway they were a bit long and I could feel them behind my knee when I bent my leg.

I had the same problem with my Bromonts when I first bought them but they are fine now because they have dropped. Does anyone know whether the chaps will drop as well??

Thanks!

Yes, they do supple up a bit, but they don't drop like the boots do. My close contact Ariat chaps have softened behind the knee and so don't cause blisters anymore.

I can feel mine for the first few times they are used but as Maiko says they supple up and I dont feel them althought I would not say they drop. Once you have bought them you will never wear normal chaps again!

I agree they are the best! They don't drop down exactly, but do soften up and I no longer feel mine behind my knee either. I'd go for it - I have 3 pairs now!

Ive had my close contacts for almost 2 years now and they are in use about 4-5 times a week, and still havent dropped. I bought them slightly long as the assistant said they'd drop and I hate chaps that are too short, but no luck so far! The elastic popper behind the knee has stretched and the chaps have bent slightly behind the knee, they arent uncomfortable but they certainly dont fit the way Id hoped. Still love them though they are very hardwearing and look really smart
