Ariat Grasmere £139 !!!!!!!

Just decided to go for it and persuade hubby they could be my Christmas present and now they have no 6s at all... Ten minutes ago there were wide ones available. Think you all beat me to it

That'll teach me to ask hubby first :(

Well if mine don't fit I'll give you first refusal and post them over :)

Anyone wondering about cost / value... I have a pair that have seen me through 3 long, hard, scottish winters. They've been worn in all weathers and ground conditions, for yard work, riding, dog walking, sledging, trudging round events... you name it. My feet have been warm and dry.
The leather is now cracked on top of the foot, because after the first winter I really didn't take any care of them - hosepipe and left to dry! But they are still entirely waterproof, because the waterproof lining is like a sort of sock inside. So really I've just purchased the new pair for when these eventually do give up the ghost, but right now they're fine.
I reckon 3 years of hard labour is a good deal for £200, and ace for £139 = 12.6p per day!
Oh and no, I'm not paid or sponsored by Ariat to say all that, that's just how much I love my Grasmeres! It appears from their advertising they sponsor pros not numpty happy hacker RC riders on slightly hairy muddy overgrown ponies... doh!

Gutted :( they don't have my size left.

Interestingly enough they still have all sizes listed for the full price ones... Can't they just bump some of them over to the reduced pile ;)

I ordered some black ones earlier but just looked again (why, oh why!!!) and the brown ones would match my dog too (like the picture!) sooo.......shall i get brown too?! x

Yes you should.

Because then instead of berating myself for buying expensive boots with money I don't have I can sit here smugly and think - oh well at least I wasn't daft enough to buy two pairs  ;)

Argh..... i did it :p

Will regret this i'm sure! x Sort of saw it as instead of getting them £100 cheaper, they were two for the price of one (normal price) :D Will probs wear one for riding etc and one for going places instead of stinking in my mucky ones! x

I have some of these and they are without a doubt the comfiest, most durable boots I've ever worn! They're fab to ride in.
I'm 5'5" and they come just above my calf, I had to get wide calf size though.
K x

Good thinking :D

And good job they don't have both colours in my size!

uh oh............ so they don't come right up to the back of your knee (or almost) like riding boots?

The reason these are cheap is that the new ones are slightly different ;)

This.
The full price ones are this years boots, the cheap ones are last years. I think the newer ones have better insulation or something. I bought a pair back in March cos I wasn't that keen on the colour of the older ones. They are still fab boots though, and a bargainous price :)

Thanks OP! They only have the black in size 5.5 and not 5. Not sure whether to bother as I reckon they might be too big... Im normally a 5 but do sometimes get 5.5 and 6 in normal shoes!

And i think i might prefer the brown... Not sure tho! Anyone have the black ones.. What do they look like on?

OMG !!!!!!!!! what a response ! If only I was on comission !! alas I am not and have never bought Ariat anything in my life - more of a Mountain Horse girl !!

its lovely to see other people spending money rather than me for a change !.

he he

Gutted just paid £165 of ebay they are great boots but you need to go down half size and they are tricky to get on and off .I bought pair of ariats last year and wear them every day:D
