Absolutely fantastic!! When my current ones wear out (this takes an awful long time with Ariats!) I will definitely be buying some new ones. Love them. Well worth the money! I have had various different Ariats over the years and have NEVER been dissappointed.
I love mine!! I can happily do a 12hour day in them & they're still comfy. I clean mine every couple of weeks & they come up looking really good.
Sounds good, thanks for that, "got to be in to win it" as they say, so will have a go.
Back to the boots, tryd the durbarry's but sales person said that the garentee would be void if they were used for riding,
and after trying 2 pairs of the weatherbeta lookalikes at £89 a time and only lasting 10 days, think I will bite the bullet and get some ariats, thank you all for you comments
You will not be dissappointed. They are built to last and unlike Dubarrys you can ride in them. Also Dubarrys are getting a bit like 'Burberry Baseball Caps'
hi,
i love mine and they are so comfy and practical but just a word of warning, Ariat had to replace mine replaced because the suede infill part in between the laces up the side tore completely on both boots after 3 months of having them.
Be very careful when you are putting them on not to pull them up by the suede part. I have heard a few other people have had this problem too so just be careful!
Sorry to hi-jack post but are the Grasmeres waterproof? Not for wading through puddles, but if I were to walk through a field of long wet grass would I have dry feet?
They're £185 in my local tack shop
Yeah, the Grasmeres are gortex, but not the whole way up the leg, which I think the Dubarries are. You can stand in a puddle over your ankles in Grasmeres (I have, many times, and not always deliberately!) and not get wet.
I was in the enviable position of being bought the Doobs AND the Ariats for Xmas, then being allowed to decide which to keep and which to send back - I kept the Ariats even tough I'd been lusting after Doobs for ages! The Doobs are a little short in the lower leg for me, and gape at the top, whereas as the lacing on the Grasmeres allows a tailored fit. Also the Grasmeres are actually designed as a riding boot too, the Doobs are more of a posh welly really.
BTW can I just put in a vote for the Dublin River boots - MUCH cheaper! I had a pair and lived in them this winter - unfortunately the lining went URGH and they aren't wearable, but that might have just been a fault with my pair. But they are a very good option to the Doobs!

I wade through puddles in mine. Last time I fence judged at a water jump in an unaffiliated Hunter Trial I spent a considerable amount of time in the water helping young or nervous horses through and my feet stayed dry all day. I LOVE my Grasmeres!
