Ariat Grasmere Sizing?

I was thinking of getting a pair online as I can find them cheaper, but are the sizings accurate? I'm a 6 but would a 61/2 or a 51/2 be better?

I'm a 6 and got a 5.5 but still room for thick socks during winter

I would say they are pretty much bang on. I'm a 5.5/39 and bought that size and they fitted, that was the glaciers. I've just bought grasmere's in a sz 6 (all they had left and money was burning a hole in my pocket!) and they fit just as well. Sz 5's don't touch me though and retailers advise going 1/2 sz up in Ariats.

I was recommended them on here and went half a size smaller (got 5.5 when I'm always a size 6) - they fit perfectly, I think any bigger would be too much

i sell grasmeres and tend to find they come up big, we say go down 1/2 a size generally. In all my ariats that i wear ive gone down a whole size but 1/2 a size is more normal.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but what's the consensus on the calf width? I know they do a reg and a full, but they are lace up so any thoughts as I'm looking at buying a pair. I'm a 16 and a half inch calf.

Also, up or down or exact on sizing? There are too many differing responses so far to help me make an evaluation. Thanks

They do come up a little big, so I went down a size if I recall correctly!

Achinghips, I have skinny calves and thought they may be too big, however with the lace up they seem to accomodate both larger and smaller calf sizes.
