As my current ariats are breaking im looking for a new pair.

This time im looking for some long leather boots.

I really like the Ariat Bromats, but i also like the Regent tall boots which have the lace detail.

Regent are just over £100 and i think that the Bromats are nearer £200.

Just wondered what people thought of the boots?

Thanks

I have a pair of Regents, and although not the model you've described they were a similar price. In general they are very good boots, have recommended them to people on here before, they've taken quite a battering from me and still scrub up well. They have dropped quite dramatically around the ankle however, more so than I would normally expect for leather boots.

I love my Bromonts - so much I have both insulated and non insulated ones now. I find them so comfy and the first pair are now 2 years old, and still look good (ride in them every day)

Had regents previously and were always quite stiff. Ariats are much softer leather - I'm getting Bromonts for daily riding when my mountain horse boots finally give in!

DEFINATLY ariat. I had a pair of Regents that got a bit damp once and they distorted so badly I couldn't get them on, so that was £100 down the drain. and I'm only talking a bit of moisture. Ariats may cost twice as much but they'll last twice as long if not more!!!

This has been my experience too - I had normal pull on Regents before I got my Ariats, and they were nothing but trouble. The stitching where the leg attaches to the foot part of the boot kept coming unstitched, and I had to get them sewn up so often that the fit changed completely. (only used them at shows - not happy!)
