I've just bought a lovely pair of Ariat Volant Show Paddock boots off Equestrian Clearance. Fab service as usual as I ordered yesterday lunchtime and they are here already.
However, they are a bit tight & I'm not sure whether to keep them or not - mostly on the heel rather than the normal place on the toe. It could be that my feet are very warm today and I haven't any socks on as keen to put them on in the office !

Does anyone know if they'll supple up much. I've not had Ariat boots before.

I've got Ariat Quantum Performer Pros and I found them a bit snug for a week or so till they were broken in. They are fine now, really comfortable, so your Volants might just need wearing in a bit?

The Bromonts and Heritage short boots are more generous in size and I've gone down half a size in those boots.

I thik Ariat are quite well know to have long narrow feet fittings - I know I don't have Ariat shaped feet, no matter how much I lust after their casual boots :(

I've had Ariat boots for a good number of years (wouldn't have anything else!) and they do supple up a lot.

The only thing I don't like about Artiat boots is that they always seem to split at the stitching over time.

Noooo, don't say that. My feet wouldn't be the narrowest. Maybe I need to go up a size. Hmmmm. this is the trouble with buying on-line.

I lusted after those too, but they only had 1/2 a size down from my usual size, I ummmed and ahhhed and decided it was just too risky to buy online as returning is a nightmare and not cheap!

I have the broadest feet ever, yet my ariats fit beautifully in a size smaller than usual! They are a lace up model, but I have them laced so the sides are touching, IYSWIM?
Perhaps phone ariat or the supplier and discuss with them? It may a model specific variation?

I have "normal" shaped feet (or so I think) and I bought Ariat Grasmeres in my normal size. They rubbed my heels a bit for a week or so but now they're broken in they fit perfectly and are really comfortable.

I have 2 pairs of Bromonts. The first pair fitted perfectly in the shop and then a few months later when they 'relaxed' were too big for me :( The second pair I made sure I got 0.5 of a size smaller and they were so tight and ouchy for the first few weeks but now they are perfect!!

This is all so confusing !
I'll try them again tonight with socks on and walk around the house & then I'll ring Equestrian Clearance and see what they say. I am leaning towards getting half a size bigger.

can you order a half size bigger too and try them both to compare then decide which ones to return? I have wide feet and found them to be true to size but only country boot styles.

I have very broad & rather deformed feet (been squashed/broken many times) and all the ariats fit me - apart from the mule.
Bromonts fit v well, as do quantum pro, the close-fit gaiters, tell-u-rides, my lovely winter lace up Grasmere's.

TFF, lives in her Ariat boots..... :redface3:

I have a pair of Ariat Heritage III's. Owned them now a year. I remember them being very tight to begin with! I wear mine 2 or 3 times a week now and they've really loosened up ( nothing dramatic though). I think it's all down to the fact there leather and leather products start out very stiff. I cant though wear very thick socks so have to stick to thinner. Hope this helps!
