Ariat Windermere or something else?

My Ariats leak the soles are wrecked, I love them but really need a new pair of boots for winter.

Need them for both yard work and riding, my Ariats were comfortable right out of the box, do I get another pair or is there something else I’m missing out on?

Ooo I'm going through the same process at the moment with Grasmeres. Mine have only lasted three years so not sure they are worth the expense

I’ve just gotten a pair of grasmeres from a lovely HHOer and I can’t believe how much better and comfy they are from the start compared to Dublin or Toggi boots. I will struggle to go back to anything other.

My river boots have always lasted longer than any of the Ariat country boots I have bought, my last ones went 5 years they don't leak but they just look very scruffy the stitching at the back came undone but you could still wear them

I agree. My Dublin pinnacle boots have lasted years and years. They aren’t waterproof anymore and the soles are VERY thin but they owe me nothing. But they did take a while to break in compared to the Ariats I’ve gotten.

I have windermeres, very comfy and I did ride in them when cold last winter. I’ve yet to find country boots that last me more than 18months, and I wear wellies in winter! I’ve had Mark Todd and Dublin over the years, the Ariats are wearing well, got them about 10 months ago.

No just regular, I don’t find Dublin very comfortable. I’ve had my Ariat 5 years not sure if Ariat like most companies have made cheap changes so they’re not so good.

I have a pair of Ariat Wythburns. They are v comfortable and warmer than the Windermeres I had years ago, because you can lace them in tighter. They aren't as long though. I do ride in them sometimes but prefer proper long boots. They are also good though for dog walking and general outside stuff in winter.

Although I did find them comfortable I would never buy another pair of Windermere’s as I’ve had two pairs where the inner lining detached making them difficult to impossible to get my foot out. I’ve always loved the Grassmeres. I’ve spoilt myself with a pair of Conistons but haven’t used them yet. My go to for the rest of the year are the Tellurides. I’ve taken to wearing additional insoles with more arch support as I get older.

Adding something like gel insoles to a less expensive boot is an alternative to buying something like Ariat. Try them on with the insole though.
