Thinking of getting one of above, not for riding in, which is best and any stockists around Bedford or northampton areas really need to try on, thanks

If you mean Ariats then i would say yes go for them. I tried Dubarrys twice but just didnt feel they were worth the money vs the Araits. I bought some Grasmeres and they are so comfy plus if i really wanted to ride in them i could.

For riding, I would go with the Ariats everytime - the Dubarrys don't seem to look as neat on the leg and I'd be worried they would catch on the saddle flap. Absolutely adore my Grasmeres, they are on their third year of wear and are unbelievably comfy to walk and ride in.

Ariats.

I've had 3 pairs of Dubarrys now (not had to pay for them luckily as they have been replaced by Dubarry every time) and not one pair has lasted more than 6 months. I haven't got a good word to say about their boots or their customer services.

Ariat Grasmeres are the dogs nuts! Have had 2 pairs and they get badly neglected and never leak despite being caked in mud all winter & crossing a river daily. They are so comfortable & great to ride in too.

I have also recently found out Ariat customer service is brilliant too. I sent them a pair of paddock boots as the zip broke and they were too old to be done under warranty so I asked if they could put in a new zip & let me know how much they wanted. 3 days later they sent a brand new pair of boots, no questions asked!

EDITED to say: If you want to ride in them do not get Dubarrys as they will not replace them if you get a problem - unless you get the Clare boot of course. They now make it very clear that they don't guarantee the boots if they are around stable dirt/horse urine etc or if they are ridden in.

Personally I favour ariats over dubarrys, I have had a pair replaced when they leeked and would not pay the money for dubarrys again. My ariats have been great.

Ordered ariat grassmeres not intending riding in them as have ariat short boots which I love, more for shows, do sheepdog and duck demos at country fairs and steam rallies and need smart dry boots for that, dublins got damp on monday, plus other uses.
