Moving yard to a bigger stable. Currently have 28mm equimats. Will probably need more Al looking alternative EVA mats to bridge the gap. Are arkmats any good?

Mine were very good. Now in two of my stables, there is a raised 'bubble' about 2 ft across where they have stretched. I am not sure of the mechanics of how this happened, but it has! I need to Do Something about it, probably trimming, but I am undecided on what/where to trim. They are about 3 years old.

Mine are 3-4 years old and look great but I only have ponies stabled 4-5 hours a day. They have half a big standard rubber mat by the door.

All my EVA mats have stretched/have bubbles/mounds, and now overlap rather than sit neatly together and continue to stretch.
I won't get them again

My equimats haven't done it but they are only 2 years old just now. My old ones were at least 20 years old and the middle non joined edges had stretched a little.

I think I may need another 2 to fit new stable but equimats are so expensive.

Love all mine, I have equimats and ark mats, they can stretch a bit and swell in hot weather so ideally you leave a small gap round the edge initially or re-trim. The only thing I wouldn't get again are the interlocking ones, fabulous when put down but a nightmare when we moved yards and had to refit them into another stable! They had sort of stretched and moved to the other stable shape!

But I like them a lot more than the heavy thinner rubber matting, I can move these by myself and lift and disinfect underneath with no heavy lifting.

I have a set of ark mats and they did bubble a little bit. They are the interlocking ones and, as @HufflyPuffly says they can be a nightmare to fit if/when you move stable. I now use interlocking rubber mats and love them.

A couple of friends bought the thick Diamond Mats and they have never bubbled or moved, despite moving yards and being refitted. I'd buy those if I needed another set.

I have Ark mats and Mayo cow mats, I have been very pleased with them. The Ark mats were a lot cheaper than the Mayo. They are both 34mm thick. I lift them periodically to thoroughly clean underneath and they do stretch a bit, but I just trim them. They are light to handle. I have some heavy rubber agri mats but I use them in the field shelter where they are not lifted.
