Tim Stockdale has made no secret that he is aiming Corlato at the Olympics - this will certainly increase his chances along with qualifying for the world cup finals.
think that they have made the right descision with Arko though. I heard he was lame not long ago and TBH I'm not sure I would take any of my horses out to that immense heat

Don't think the heat has anything to do with this decision...after all Arko went to Athens and to Kuwait to compete. Nick has made no secret that Olympic gold is his ultimate aim too.
I think Tim Stockdale and Corlato are probably the best combination in the country at the moment and will almost certainly go if they both stay sound. Don't rule out Nick yet eithr though...remember Aachen WEG when he was selected on Russell
I think Michael and John W will almost certainly go too...so perhaps no room for the younger Whitakers after all
This is such a shame! Arko is a lot more reliable than Russell and he had just been coming back to form after his long absence from the circuit. He put in an amazing performance at the Olympia world cup qualifier and gave Libertina a good run for her money. I thought for sure he and Nick were right on track for the Olympics. Nick and the Hales must be devastated. I know I am.
I think the right decision was made - Arkos form has been untrustworthy and with him having a history now of lameness theres no point - there are so many top showjumping horses to choose from, why choose one that perhaps couldn't take it?
