Armas hospital update

So glad he's doing well. Mollie choked once, and so did my old horse many years ago, but neither anything like as bad as poor Armas. I found it terrifying though and it must have been a dreadful experience for you.

It's clear that Armas means the world to you. Big hugs to you both. xx

The irony is poor old Armas would probably have been find had the vet not advised sticking a tube down his throat.

Armas, in your shoes I'd be f'ing fuming and probably taking it further to be honest.

Don't worry about the nebulising, I finished doing my horse about 4 weeks ago, had to do him twice a day for 3 weeks. The vet gave me the machine to use and it was very easy, my boy just stood there quietly. Mind you, my vet also said it would take about 20 minutes each time....no such luck, more like 50, so i hope you're patient!!

Good luck!!
I was told 20 mins to closer to 40 ! 20 must be there magic number

I feel that the hose exacerbated the problem, however the hospital don't agree with that. They feel that food and mucus would have still ended up in the lungs. However they did say that they would not advise to use a hose.
I think that its a case of vets sticking together. However I am going in to the first vets clinic to speak with the boss and see what they have to say.

It was dreadful and a very scary experience for both of us. He does mean the world to me ;-)

First injection went well had a little practice sticking a cushion first !
The nebuliser was resonably easy to use :) Fingers crossed all the drugs work.

Poor Armos, he does look sorry for himself and who can blame him.

So glad to hear he is on the mend.:)

Poor boy, good luck with the Dr. Finlay stuff. He should soon be feeling much better and it sounds like you've got him on a comprehensive regime. Keeping his head down grazing is probably the best thing. He looks like he's being a good patient.
