Now here's a question!

I occasionally go to shows / SJ on my own. I have always thought I ought to wear dog tags or something so that someone would know who to contact if I got knock out or worse.

Is this a stupid idea and does anyone have any ideas other than the BE arm band?

Sounds like a very GOOD idea to me. I go alone sometimes too...thinking about it now...I don't think there's much info in the lorry that would tell them who I was either....except perhaps my wallet ! Most entry forms take your phone number and address though don't they ?

I go to events all the time on my own and this sort of thing does worry me. At BE events you have to write on your entry whether you will be travelling alone and who your next of kin is etc, and on our RC entry forms you have to put a contact number. I've got some details pinned to the inside of my trailer as to where I come from, where my horse is stabled and contact numbers for transporting said horse home.
Recently I had a fall and got knocked out, luckily an event at my own RC. They were brill in calling my Dad and letting him know. Someone dropped my car and trailer off at Dad's house and walked my horse round to her previous owners who live next door to RC field.

When I go further afield I have started to check with friends as to who are going to same event and asking if they would take my horse back to there's should I fall and be carted off to hospital. Am thinking of arranging something a bit more formal between a group of us as to who can drive who's car/lorry. Whether each others horses will travel in other lorries/trailers and what to do should one of us be injured.

I've already got friends who will collect my horse from local area should I break down en route plus breakdown cover as well. Must admit. I'm starting to get paranoid about the whole thing. Does it show?
