So, last night people coming to see the horse, with trailer, did they show up? no! did they call? no!
Today, went to the beach to gallop my lad, have checked notice boards everytime I'm there. Drove in PAST a crowd of wardens, They waited until we had unloaded and started tacking up before 'oh, you cant take horses on its blue flagged' ************bear in mind we had driven an hour to get there! There was a nother smaller, rockier beach we ended up going to.
They were there picking up litter. apparently dogs/horses aren't allowed on from may-sept. There is no-one on the frigging beach! Nothing in the notice boards about it (all the info etc). There was no-one there sace 6/7 life guards in a hut! Bah, and its the litter of the select few who are allowed on the beach that they are picking up. Not fair..it's not like its a small beach either, miles and miles of it!

its the same here not allowed on beach between 10 & 7 between may and 1st sept so on sat im off to beach right in the middle of the day to celebrate! which beach did you go to? used to live in belfast

tyrella. Been there loads of tims before and there is nothing on the boards...wouldn't mind so much if there was, or if they'd told us as we drove past them, not had to get up their courage as we unloaded the horse.

Lmao...they were sitting in their hut until I think 5pm....this was 10am in the morning!! I am going to go down early next week (before 9am, when he said we were allowed...) and because of timings will be there when they arrive at 9, they can just put up as I will be finished by then.

As of last year they banned horses from our local beach in the summer weeks. I live in quite a rural area and only 3 people every ride on the local beach and none of us are daft enough to go down at the busiest of times anyway. It's a bit of a joke really as there have never been any horse accidents on my local beach involving pedestrians. I'm setting my alarm for 6am tomorrow and going for a gallop, just checked the tide table and it should be perfect.

I would love to know what the penalty is?
It is ridiculous, there have not been accidents I'm aware of, what else is at issue? Do you have 'wardens' to stop you? ( SIX of them to 'guard'/save all the litter? There was nobody there, actually! And I bet they're getting paid for that..)
