My horse has arthritis in both hocks and ringbone in a fore which is managed by bute and cosequin.
My vet has recently suggested trying Flexadin Advanced for my arthritic dog alongside his cosequin so he started on it yesterday, and having done some research I've found the product in the title which is available for horses.
It's main ingredient is UC2 which works differently to chrondroitin & glucosamine and in trials seems very effective in managing the pain caused by osteoarthritis. As usual it's very expensive for horses ( about £90 a month which is in addition to the £110 a month for the cosequin and the £35 a month for the bute ) so I was wondering if anyone on here has tried it and with what results.
I'm going to see if there's any improvement in my dog before jumping in for the equine variety but some of the research I've read says optimum results are achieved after 150 days. My vet said there should be an improvement shown in Storm the dog after about a month so I was only planning on waiting that long.
I'd be grateful for any feedback/comments on the equine version but will also post in dogs to see if anyone has tried the canine version too.
Thank you
