arthritis success stories please

i have a mare that competes bsja and bd she has just been diagnosed wiyh arthritis in her off hind hock .she has had a course of trilden and steroid injection.she is back in work for 3 weeks in walk then a soundness assessment on tuesday..just wondered if anyone had success with injections and arthritis ? were you back compoeting ?many thanks x:)
 
My horse isn't quite in the same situation as yours, she isn't a competition horse but any means! But she has various problems in both fronts, and is arthritic in both fronts.
She had steroid Injections at the beginning of the year and then Tildren at the end of September. I have had great success with these! All I can say is take things slow. My horse is much better in work and isn't one to be a field ornament so I kept her working and this has done wonders for her. I have hacked this year and got her fit and this week we started schooling again and she is going great!!
