my mare has had 2 neuroectomys in a year on the same leg and joint fluid into the coffin joint on the other all due to arthritis however she was still stiff and pottery.

due to stomach upsets she cannt tolerate bute so i supplemented her with devils claw, which had a slight effect

I have just discover "vetrofen" and what a huge difference it has made. A bit pricey but noticed a difference within 10 days,
has anyone else tried this new product?

WOW if it's as good at it says then I am off to buy some NOW!!!

My 22yr old has arthritis in his hocks (no specific injury, just wear and tear)! Used to have him on Equistro Flexadin which worked wonders, but then he got Cushings induced Laminitis and I am now too worried to give him Glucosamine!

I've tried the Permanax Tablets, but he is on so many tablets already for his Cushinsg that he won't eat them and I don't blame him! I tried one and they are Yuck!

I'm going to give this a try!!!

its worth a try, I am usually very sceptile about non convential meds but this one has proved me wrong! I did start off with low dose as quite pricey but noticed difference within 10 days, she is back to her old "jiggy, joggy self"

Does anyone know if this can be fed alongside other medication
I currently use 1 danelon a day plus a joint supplement.
I find this works and my mare is sound but would be interested to try this alongside the danelon then perhaps wean off the danelon gradually.
Any one any thoughts ???

You are not supposed to feed Vetrofen alongside a conventional NSAID like danelion or Bute. I don't know why this is, but they are quite clear about it on their literature.

I've bought a supply for my gelding who needs a lot of joint support and has been on devil's claw for a year and that isn't so good for their stomachs. I wanted to give it a try. We will see.

Thanks for that info .I may contact the makers for futher information .
I am a bit nervous of changing the meds routine as it took a while to get her sound .Thanks for that.

Still toying with putting my Connie on this.

Though think I will wait to hear about more reports as i am reluctant to take him off his Danilon.

He is currently getting Science Systems Flexability. Can Vetrofen be fed along side the glucosamine joint supplements?

The connie definitely does not need anything that will whizz him up more during the winter months. Has it sent anyone's horses loopy?
Just to clarify, what i mean by this, has it made the horse more jolly than they were before their lameness.

Thanks
