My Spanish boy had an arthrodesis op on both of his hocks last November. Both hocks have chronic arthritis and he was very lame so advised by my vet this was the best way forward. The op was a success,the vet was happy and he was given a year to become sound. He has not been totally sound since and in the last month has become lame on his right hind. My vet advised to try him on bute last week so he has been on 2 bute a day for about 5 days. I trotted him on Sunday and sadly he is still lame. Has anyone had a similar situation as I really don't know where to go next and can't leave him in pain if the bute isn't working
