Would you consider buying a horse with it? Horse is only 8 years old, the joint was medicated 2 years ago and the owner says everything is still fine, and that the horse can jump 90cm/1m still which would be fine for me.

Obviously it wouldn't be covered by any insurance, my instinct says 'no' but I'm wondering if I'm being too cautious?

My instinct would be saying why was a 6 year old showing arthritic changes at such a young age, in my view if one joint is affected so early the horse is more than likely to get it elsewhere sooner rather than later, I would walk away, in fact I would run!!

Glad my instinct was correct, thanks Be Positive :) An experienced friend has said the same, so I am running briskly in the other direction as I type :D
