any warm but really nicely fitting breeches?

I used to have a pair of lovely Pikeur cord ones and they were really snug, but I can't find any this year.

They need to be smart, because I wear them to pop into town sometimes. They need to be machine washable (ie preferably not real leather seat / knees etc).

Thanks

I don't know with breeches, you probably need real corduroy ones to be warm. Can you source stretch corduroy? That's as warm as I reckon you'll get in a stretch fabric.

Sometimes I ride in ski salopettes, if its really freezing. Jods are always thin.

Equetech Chilly jods, or Musto Snug jods... ? not breeches but who would know under boots! Apparently they have fleece linings?

Ohhh! Fleece lined ones sound very snug! Over trousers sound like a good idea - Thanks, I will investigate.

I think a trip to the saddlers is in order!

A pair of good quality thermal long johns will do the trick. The more expensive ones tend to be thinner - but still warm so comfier under jods.
