As Spring is finally here....

We are not moving until June :( Our Summer grazing doesn't look much like summer grazing at the moment.

Zoomy is fully clipped but she is in just a no-fill TO during the day at the moment so hopefully not long until she can have some naked time!

Still a bit chilly I think particularly overnight, my aged TB would prob not cope too well atm. Am hoping April will warm up as this has been a very long winter. The others would be fine but they are kept in the same routine so would only do so when all are comfortable.

Rugs came off last weekend when it was really warm and the rugged ones were getting a bit sweaty

No summer grazing yet. More hay being delivered tomorrow :(

Ah well I'm sure spring is just around the corner :)

  Ummmmmmmm, not quite yet! Most of my fields have got geese floating on them at the moment. Not a lot of green about around here yet. I don't expect to have any grass worth grazing until May and by then I'll be wanting to get a cut off it in late July so the horses will be eating hay for a bit longer yet.

Blankets have been off for a while, even with temperatures below zero still at night the horses are just fine without for now.

Had to move mine from their winter grazing a couple of weeks early due to what was planned for them , vaccinations and a colt to be gelded .No grass to speak of , lots of rain although the field drains quite well . Having to put a bit of hay out for them & they're on Hi-Fi & balancer . They're natives so we don't do rugs
