Still a bit chilly I think particularly overnight, my aged TB would prob not cope too well atm. Am hoping April will warm up as this has been a very long winter.The others would be fine but they are kept in the same routine so would only do so when all are comfortable.
:rollseyes: Ummmmmmmm, not quite yet! Most of my fields have got geese floating on them at the moment.Not a lot of green about around here yet. I don't expect to have any grass worth grazing until May and by then I'll be wanting to get a cut off it in late July so the horses will be eating hay for a bit longer yet.
Blankets have been off for a while, even with temperatures below zero still at night the horses are just fine without for now.
Had to move mine from their winter grazing a couple of weeks early due to what was planned for them , vaccinations and a colt to be gelded .No grass to speak of , lots of rain although the field drains quite well . Having to put a bit of hay out for them & they're on Hi-Fi & balancer . They're natives so we don't do rugs
