Would we be able between us to keep a list that could be sent by PM to anyone that needs it ?

Just a thought as tonight I was looking through a well known more upmarket horse sale site and noticed two ads for the same horse with different phone numbers - one purporting to be a private sale, the other a dealer.

It is only through HHO I know who the person involved is and should therefore be avoided - others might not be aware and now unable to even ask.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
 
AFAIK all the messages that are sent through the forum are the property of IPC so that in theory IPC still runs the risk of complaint if such a list is compiled and passed through PMs.

I'm sure TFC would put you right on this though.

If someone is not local, didn't grow up in the area attending PC activities etc, they would not be well connected enough to ask around about prospective yards and their reputations.

I had a lucky escape yesterday. I saw a yard, it seemed OK, I thought I would go for it. Then in one final conversation, the YO mentioned the name of their friend. I happen to know this "friend" - this person is extremely violent with horses, and actually beat the daylights out of my horse in a prolonged attack - with punches to the face and kicks to the ribs when he wouldn't load. Very dishonest person, and should be avoided. Luckily this person's name was mentioned, so I immediately saw the link...and decided to give the yard a wide berth...and will keep looking for somewhere.

It's tough though, I keep blindly walking into the worst situations with the absolute worst people imaginable, so horrible that right now I feel like giving up riding, because the yards/people have been such awful experiences (ripping me off, treating horse badly, abusive to me and horse, bullying). I would definitely love to get my hands on such a list.
 
i would love to know /see a list!!!! could have saved me ££££££ and lots sleepless nights!!

i bought/imported under dealer recommendation (and had 5* vetting done) an andalusian last yr and was sold a ''viceless, calm, relaxed horse'' who when landed at my door had EVERY vice under sun, luckily i had savings so horse has been in a rehabilitation yard past months. dealer refused to exchange/refund/give credit saying 'horse was ok when i saw it'' spent FORTUNE on this thing - times his selling price by 3!!!

i've gotten legal advice and am taking them to court ... more expense .... but hopefully will halt similar situations happening again with someone else ... not only has it been incredibly stressful and financialy hard, but this horse can now never be sold on as his quirks make him worthless as he has been described by everyone as ''difficult - not a novice horse at all""

totally understand why you cant print your views and opinions (slander/liable) but where can we??
